Good-looking pages are only part of the brief. Think about what someone came to do.

Start with the visitor’s question.
What is this business? Is it relevant to me? What can I do here? Use those questions to review the first screen before adding more sections or effects.
Give each page a job.
A services page explains an offer. A project page gives context. A contact page helps someone begin a conversation. Decide what belongs on each page and make the important next step easy to find.
Use real content to test the layout.
Try the long heading, the realistic service description, and the actual image. Check the page on a narrow screen as well as a large one. The layout needs to support the content people will really see.
Review the complete interaction.
Follow the links. Open the menu. Tab through the form. Check what happens when a required field is empty. A page is not finished when its screenshot looks right; the paths through it need the same attention.
